EY is hiring for the role of Cyber Security Intern!
Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Assisting in monitoring security systems for unusual activity and potential threats, and analyzing security breaches and incidents.
- Helping to evaluate clients’ security program maturity, identify risks, and test the effectiveness of existing cyber controls. This includes supporting adherence to various cyber policies, regulations, and frameworks
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. This may also involve conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify system weaknesses.
- Developing automation scripts using languages like Python or PowerShell to improve security tasks, and potentially building dashboards using AI/LLMs (Large Language Models).
- Preparing client reports, documentation, and working papers to support project deliverables.
- Investigating new security concepts, best practices, and emerging threats (e.g., cloud security, AI in security operations) to stay current in the field.
- Working effectively within project teams, communicating progress, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
Requirements:
- BE – B. Tech / (IT/ Computer Science/ Circuit branches)
- Should have secured 60% and above
- No active Backlogs
- Should have understanding and/or experience of software development best practices and software development life cycle
- Understanding of one/more programming languages such as Java/ .Net/ Python, data analytics or databases such as SQL/ Oracle/ Teradata etc.
- Internship in a relevant technology domain will be an added advantage
- Adaptive to team and fosters collaborative approach
- Innovative approach to the project, when required
- Shows passion and curiosity, desire to learn and can think digital
- Agile mindset and ability to multi-task
- Must have an eye for detail
