Roles of an Accountant:
An accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Manage GST, TDS, income tax filings and other statutory compliances
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Process payroll and employee reimbursements
- Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com preferred)
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) – Added advantage
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
- Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or other accounting software
- Good understanding of MS Excel
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (as required by company)
