Sales Executive – Building Materials (Field Sales)

The Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling building material products within the assigned territory through proactive field activities. This role involves regular interaction with construction professionals, visiting project locations, and identifying new sales opportunities. The candidate will focus on building strong relationships with industry stakeholders, expanding the client network, and achieving consistent sales growth. The position requires a self-driven professional who is comfortable working independently and managing on-ground sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular visits to construction sites, dealer outlets, and project offices to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Develop new customer relationships with contractors, builders, architects, consultants, site engineers, distributors, and dealers.
  • Present and explain product features, applications, and benefits to prospective customers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat orders and long-term partnerships.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies within the building materials industry.
  • Participate in commercial discussions and negotiate pricing to successfully close sales orders.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management team.
  • Generate new leads through field visits, networking, and industry connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of client meetings, site visits, and sales progress.
  • Submit daily activity updates and periodic sales reports to the reporting manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Fresher or 2 years of sales experience in the building materials industry.
  • Experience working with products such as fiber cement boards, gypsum boards, sandwich panels, tile adhesives, wall putty, block fixing materials, marble, granite, stone, pipes, or ceramic products.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage field sales responsibilities independently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates with experience only in cement or ready-mix concrete (RMC) sales will not be considered.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently across the assigned territory.
